Kennedy concluded, “So Congress could act and say, ‘Look, federal judges, you render a decision to a plaintiff or a defendant, but you can’t impact people outside of your courtroom other than through a class action.’ That’s why God created class actions, isn’t it?”

Kennedy’s questioning explained that universal injunctions lack any basis in statutory law, Supreme Court precedent, or historical common law and exposed their use as a judicial overreach that disproportionately targets President Trump’s policies.

Today's hearing was on "Judicial Overreach & Constitutional Limits On The Federal Courts." 

It allowed Raskin to assail Republicans for criticizing Federal District Court Judge James Boasberg for ordering illegal alien deportation flights to El Salvador's Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT) to be re-routed back home mid-flight.

"I call on my colleagues right now to call off their campaign to impeach federal judges for doing their job," Raskin said. "I call on them to demand that the Trump administration comply with all judicial orders while appealing whichever ones they want to appeal."

I would posit that none of that should be considered. The only thing Chen should have been analyzing was what the law says and whether the administration was within its legal right to remove TPS in this case. Not only did he not do that, but it appears he completely contradicted the law. 

You see, this issue was already litigated under the first Trump administration, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that TPS is not subject to judicial review.

In other words, not only is Chen violating the law with his order by ruling on something already deemed not subject to judicial review, but he's then demanding the administration meet a legal standard that doesn't even exist.
