Lot of talk about the taper tantrum lately so let's remind ourselves how equities and the US 10 year move together? All bigger moves in yields have resulted in SPX eventually giving in and making a big move lower, or at least produced a more volatile environment. Since recent lows the US 10 year has gone from 0.5% to 1.16%. During the latter part of the yields move higher, the SPX has been rising in tandem with yields. Will SPX once again wake up to realizing yields have actually moved up violently higher? It tends to react with a time lag...
