Short gamma = erratic markets

Don't forget we are in rather deep short gamma territory. Dealers are forced to sell when market moves lower, but don't forget they also need to chase stuff should we move higher. Given the poor liquidity, this market remains fragile as dealers need to hedge deltas "mechanically".
