Amid Biden/Gensler 'Jihad On Digital Assets', Trump Says 'If You Like Crypto, You Better Vote For Me'
In an abrupt reversal from his previous views, former President Trump appears to have recognized that 'crypto' will be one of the key factors for some voters in the coming election and has embraced the protection of personal sovereignty that the digital currency offers (at a time of dwindling trust in the 'establishment' and the growing noise around 'CBDC'-driven total control).
In 2019, President Trump was not a big fan of crypto, writing at the time on Twitter:
I am not a fan of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies, which are not money, and whose value is highly volatile and based on thin air. Unregulated Crypto Assets can facilitate unlawful behavior, including drug trade and other illegal activity....

Going on to say:
"We have only one real currency in the USA, and it is stronger than ever, both dependable and reliable. It is by far the most dominant currency anywhere in the World, and it will always stay that way. It is called the United States Dollar!"
Four years later, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis brought the topic back to top of mind for Republicans by vowing to ban CBDCs in his state.

This prompted us to point out - rather prophetically:
"Crypto becoming a top 2024 election issue as expected. On one hand you have Pocahontas and her "Anti-Crypto army", and now you have DeSantis going all-in crypto, anti-CBDC and anti-Warren. "
And yesterday, we saw that forecast realized as former president Trump told a group during an event at Mar-a-Lago that:
"If you like crypto in any form…and it comes in many forms...if you’re in favor of crypto, you better vote for Trump."
Trump also took a shot at Gensler and Biden:

Trump was asked by one attendee: "Can we donate to the Trump campaign using crypto? I believe the answer is yes."
"If you can’t, I’ll make sure you can," Trump replied.

Trump's stance is in direct opposition to the "jihad against digital assets" under way by Gary Gensler (as Rep John Flood put it) and the rest of Biden's cronies who, we assume, fear the fact that these assets are beyond their control, and highlight the success of decentralization (literally the opposite of every centralizing policy measure over the last three-plus years).
While crypto may not be up there with 'abortion' or 'the border crisis', for many, it's a game-changer, and there is a very clear divide between the anti-crypto-army of Warren et al, and Republicans' apparent more broad embrace of the freedom-loving currency.
