Trump's Revolutionary Presidency Continues

This past week has been another one of astonishing executive actions by President Trump, culminating with his Executive Order addressing the "egregious actions" of the government of South Africa, including their recently enacted Expropriation Act targeted against their Afrikaner minority.

Our friend Ernst van Zyl, the Head of Public Relations at the South African civil rights organization Afriforum, discussed the Expropriation Act and President Trump's response to it in the video below. He also wrote the following introduction to it exclusively for ZeroHedge. Following his guest post, we'll close with a brief hedged portfolio update.

Authored by Ernst van Zyl of Afriforum

The Chickens Come Home To Roost For The ANC

This week the chickens finally came home to roost for the ANC and their extremist, destructive policies. The president of the United States, Donald Trump, took to social media and put the South African government on notice regarding their latest attack against private property.

Furthermore, Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, announced that the United States would not be attending the G20 summit hosted by South Africa in 2025.

Finally, President Trump signed an executive order, mounting further punishment on the South African government for its extremist policies and stances. Disturbingly, many in the South African media breathlessly rushed to the defense of the government, shamelessly gaslighting the public about the ANC’s intentions with the Expropriation Act. I therefore take it upon myself to provide you with the relevant timeline and the ANC’s stated intentions, because the captured commentariat of South Africa have failed to do so.

How You Can Help

One of the main organizations standing up against the South African government in their attack against private property is AfriForum. You can support AfriForum in our fight by becoming a member or making a once-off donation here:

Hedged Portfolio Update

We haven't spent much time recently talking about our hedged portfolios, but their recent performance continues to be strong. For example, here is the hedged portfolio our system created for an investor on August 8th of last year, who was unwilling to risk a drawdown of more than 20% over the next six months.

And here is how that hedged portfolio has performed as of Friday's close, net of hedging and trading costs. It has nearly doubled the performance of the market.
