This past week I talked to my friend Matt Taibbi and we discussed the shifting media landscape toward independent journalism and the implications of the 2024 Presidential Election results. We delved into the extreme rhetoric dominating political media, the legal and ethical challenges mainstream outlets face regarding libel and reporting accuracy, and the erosion of trust in traditional media.

We also examined the consequences of bias in election coverage, the role of identity politics in shaping voter demographics, and growing concerns about institutional accountability in censorship and government actions. Our discussion touched on broader issues like the Pentagon’s missing $1 trillion annually and the escalating Russia-Ukraine conflict as President Biden's term winds down.

Additionally, as I wrote in my Thanksgiving note on Thursday, I just wanted to thank my readers for the incredible community you’ve help build here.

Assembling here and discussing the bizarre world we live in almost daily, combined with the gift you’ve given me of being able to write whenever I have thoughts I need to get out of my head, has been one of the greatest gifts along the way and I want to express my genuine, sincere thanks for it.

In the coming weeks I’ll be releasing the 25 names I’ll be watching heading into 2025 and thoughts about what risks I see ahead for the new year. For now, I wanted to offer one last chance to become a paid subscriber at a wicked discount before I end this promotion — which I continued from the summer — for the foreseeable future.

🔥 80% OFF | LAST CHANCE: While I may offer discounts heading into 2025, I won’t be offering 80% off again anytime soon: Get 80% off forever

This past week I wrote about a growing risk with cryptocurrency and the law of larger numbers in the space, reminding my readers that as the nation feels awash with liberty post-election — liberty is an ally of freedom. And freedom in markets means that prices go both up and down.

I also wrote last week about how (and why) the Biden administration seems to be stirring the World War 3 pot before Biden clocks out of the White House.
