This is the second part of an interview between John Paulson on CNBC. In part one Paulson discussed what he thought the market would do under Kamala Harris as recapped in John Paulson: "We'll see a crash" under Harris tax plans one memorable quote from part one was:
"I would move more [presumably out of stocks] to cash if Harris was elected, and I'd stay invested in gold."
This interview focuses on two main topics. The first focuses on what he believes is a misunderstanding on tariffs as causes of inflation.
I'm not concerned about the inflationary impacts of the tariffs. There will be some, but that will be offset by higher growth and higher growth leads to more tax revenues.
The second subject involved some debate commentary. Paulson noted: "We didn't hear a lot about what her (Harris) policies would be. Here is part 2 of that interview
