Reactions To Biden's Post-NATO Press Conference
The Dog That Didn't Bark
Minutes before Biden's much-anticipated "Big Boy" press conference on Thursday, a rumor swirled on X that he was going to announce that he was stepping down. Of course, that didn't happen.
Biden’s not dropping out.

I wish I could have placed my bet on him already.
But it didn't stop the media from trying to force him out anyway.
The Knives Come Out For Biden
The media went from gaslighting us about Biden's obvious examples of senility, like wandering off in the middle of a G-7 photo op, to pouncing on every Biden flub during last night's press conference.
Biden immediately catches himself after this flub and corrects himself.

Yes, he is cognitively impaired, but now that the media wants him out, they're elevating every minor incident into evidence of that, sometimes unfairly. https://t.co/SQg4xkHSeg pic.twitter.com/G3Gvxcunjv
Of course, the malice hasn't been limited to the media.
The malice of the Democrats humiliating an old man they protected because they got caught lying about him is truly disgusting, matched only by the cowardice of it all—Obama hiding behind Clooney and the podcast guys, Pelosi & Schumer hiding behind vulnerable reps in swing states

Biden Clears The (Very Low) Bar
Despite the flubs, such as referring to Zelensky as Putin, or Vice President Kamala Harris as "Vice President Trump", Biden's performance was better than in his disastrous debate last month, and better than his last interview. Once he got rolling, he started to slow down his speech, which reduced the number of errors, and also helped kill the clock.
Biden exceeded expectations. His fake Hollywood friends are in shambles.

It also didn't hurt that Biden's been a liar and a blowhard for so long that it camouflages his senility to some extent.
Biden’s arrogance and blarney work well to camouflage his senility—when he compares his legislative record to LBJ, you’re not sure if it’s brain damage or not.

Russia! Russia! Russia
Biden's argument about NATO keeping American families safe from Russia brought to mind Chris Rock's famous line from his classic "Bring The Pain" special in the 1990s. In that special, Rock dismissed claims by some African Americans that the reality of black crime was being exaggerated by the media:
When I go to the money machine tonight, alright, I ain't looking over my back for the media, I'm looking for niggas! Shit, Ted Koppel ain't never took shit from me. Niggas have, so, you think I've got three guns in my house 'cause the media outside?
Biden: “Your family is safer because of NATO.”

Rock: “When I’m at the ATM 🏧, I’m not looking over my shoulder for *Russians*”. pic.twitter.com/lPxxJ2SSsR
Astonishingly, it turns out Joe Biden had a more rational view of the Russian threat during the Cold War. In 1972, when he first ran for the U.S. Senate, he mocked the much-older incumbent for worrying more about Russians than, essentially, what Chris Rock said.
Really crazy that Joe Bidens 1972 senate run strategy was that his 60-something opponent was too old and that his motto was "He understands what's happening today."

Now he's 20 years older than his opponent was back then, and doesn't seem to understand what's going on at all. pic.twitter.com/Yby143USeo
Let me pull out that second image, for those of you who didn't click on the post above:
Apparently, Joe Biden no longer understands what's happening today, and he was abetted by girlboss militarist Kaja Kallas, the Prime Minister of pipsqueak NATO member Estonia in saber-rattling at Russia.
Reminder that this broad runs an indefensible micro state of 1.4 million people (22% of whom are Russian) that’s essentially a pimple on Russia’s forehead.

A Hopeful Note Elsewhere
While Joe Biden was angrily railing at Russia in Washington, and contradicting himself about whether he would be willing to negotiate with Vladimir Putin, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who met with Putin several days ago, was meeting with Trump in Mar-a-Lago about how to end the Russia-Ukraine war.

It was an honour to visit President @realDonaldTrump at Mar-a-Lago today. We discussed ways to make #peace. The good news of the day: he’s going to solve it! pic.twitter.com/AiTRsdexM5
