After a burst of buying in early September, retail buying momentum is starting to fade again, according to the latest report from Vanda Research. As the chart below shows, just as retail buying had begun to gradually pick up at the start of the month, that momentum has quickly stalled. Indeed, the 1-month rolling net buying of both individual stocks and total listed securities is now rolling over again, reinforcing that the broader retail bid remains relatively subdued.
