It appears that not all is well below China's calm, if fabricated, economic surface. 

China is injecting 360 billion yuan ($56 billion) into its largest banks and insurers - part of the nation’s biggest recapitalization in almost two decades - to shore up the strength of its financial system and sustain lending as economic growth keeps slowing. The Ministry of Finance, which led the move, had rarely injected capital into financial institutions at such magnitude.
