While Democrats, the Democratic Socialists of America, and Alex Soros were cheering on Sunday after the runoff election victory of Brazil's socialist regime leader, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the left has gone awfully silent as their ally in South America has unleashed a totalitarian crackdown against his opposition. The left claims, whether in the US, Europe, or elsewhere, that it is all about "saving democracy." In reality, these leftists are all about weaponizing the courts to crush their opponents in what can be viewed as total lawfare and massive hypocrisy.
Lula supporters in Brazil celebrate their victory by BURNING the American flag and chanting "Fora Trump".. The Soros foundation sent Brazil about R$605 million between 2016 and 2023, and over $31 million to 95 NGOs in 2023 alone, according to Gazeta do Povo.. Look at what those NGOs push: dr*g decriminalization, abortion, fewer people in prison, and groups like Sleeping Giants Brasil that organize ad boycotts against right-wing media. RIP BRAZIL

DSA member and prospective “Squad 2.0” congressman Chris Rabb is part of the election observation delegation in Brazil, where he’s filming videos celebrating Lula’s reelection and warning about American political interference. I'd like to see Rabb bring that same social media, man-on-the-ground energy to Philadelphia's biggest problem areas. Go stand in an open-air drug market, talk about the addiction crisis, and explain what he's actually doing to address it. And while we're at it, election observation delegations should be politically neutral, not de facto cheerleaders for one side. Rabb's videos celebrating Lula's victory certainly raise questions about his objectivity as an election observer.

She is currently in Brazil as part of an "international delegation observing the Brazilian runoff election" and is overjoyed that the Supreme Court extended voting hours, even though "a lot of stations have already closed." These DSA delegations hardly seem like impartial election observers when the organization openly declares solidarity with the very political forces whose elections it is supposedly observing.

Lula won Sunday's runoff after a Supreme Court decision extended voting by two hours, a move defeated presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro cited in initially seeking to challenge the result. By Monday, Bolsonaro had abandoned plans to seek annulment and said Lula's federal police had seized his passport and barred him from leaving Brazil.
Reports emerged Tuesday that Bolsonaro had traveled through Argentina en route to the US, though Argentine officials denied he had entered the country. By late Tuesday, Brazilian newspaper O Globo reported that he had arrived in Miami.

The lack of scrutiny from Western news outlets and left-wing NGOs as Lula's socialist regime imposes court-ordered travel restrictions on Bolsonaro raises concerns about political persecution and the use of overreaching judicial power to attack the opposition. Every mainstream lefty outlet has been quiet about this, and that's very telling.
